Duke’s Secondary School
Learning Support Assistant

Duke’s Secondary School is looking to appoint an Learning Support Assistant to join the busy Additional Needs Team.  The additional Needs Team provides essential support for students who have a wide range of additional needs and/or disabilities. Learning Support Assistants are instrumental in promoting and developing independence and delivering bespoke support and interventions.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to join this forward-looking Church of England school in Ashington.  You will make a great addition to the team if you are flexible and committed to delivering high quality provision for all students while maintaining confidentiality.

The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, willing to help others and with an approach that is flexible to adapt to changing situations in a fast-moving environment.

The post is 32.5 hours per week (8:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday) working term time plus 5 days.

Salary band 3: £18,795 – £19,171 pro rata (Actual £14,182 – £14,446 per annum)

Castle School
Level 1 Teaching Assistant – Lunchtime Cover

An opportunity has arisen for a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to assist over the lunchtime period in Castle School.  You will be required to supervise and support children with their feeding programmes in the dining area and also provide support in the playground and indoor areas.  There maybe also an opportunity to support in a classroom.

10 hours per week, term time plus 5 days
Salary Band 2 – £18,065 – £18,426 per annum, pro
(Actual salary – £4,194 – £4,277 per annum)
