The NCEA primary curriculum is designed to engage pupils and inspire them to become creative and independent thinkers with a love of learning and a thirst for knowledge.

We actively encourage pupils to get involved and contribute to the life of the Academy and to be active, respectful and caring members of the communities that they live in as well as thoughtful members of the global community.

At the Thomas Bewick Campus, our curriculum is rigorous and well planned. Combined with high-quality teaching, we ensure that children are supported to be well rounded, empathetic young people who have a genuine thirst for learning. Children develop a strong sense of moral purpose in addition to a respect for and understanding of people.

Our team, work together to create exciting learning opportunities within the classroom setting and the wider environment.  We set project homework, based on our current topics. These projects give learners the opportunity to investigate further and share knowledge with their families.

We provide a broad, balanced and enriched curriculum, with access and enjoyment for all.
