Are you passionate about working with children with special educational needs?

Are you a dedicated, energetic and compassionate leader looking for a new challenge?

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of our most vulnerable children?

William Leech C of E Primary School has a unique senior leadership opportunity for a Head of School & SENDCo to lead The Cabin at William Leech, a brand new Primary Specialist Support Base in Lynemouth. The Cabin at William Leech is a unique educational provision for children with SEMH and SLCN needs, where staff lead by example to build strong, nurturing relationships that support both the pupils and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong vision, be committed to leading and coaching a new staff team, developing an exciting curriculum and working with a range of professionals to ensure that the children are safe, cared for and receive the very best educational provision to develop their knowledge and skills, in order to reach their full potential, as they prepare for adulthood.

As well as the opportunity to work in a new, fully refurbished building, the Trust also offers the following benefits:

  • A supportive and collaborative staff team with a shared passion for education.
  • A school community that prioritises wellbeing, values, and high expectations
  • Excellent CPD opportunities and clearly defined career progression routes.
  • A comprehensive ECT support programme tailored to individual needs.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme – 24/7 wellbeing support.
  • On-site childcare provision during term time through The Nest
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme.

If this sounds like the leadership role you are looking for and if you share our passion for and commitment to high quality, fully inclusive education, then we would love to hear from you!

Please note, shortlisted candidates will be invited to visit the school on Wednesday 15th October at 10am.

Interviews for this position will be held on Monday 20th October.
