Would you like a rewarding career working with primary aged children with complex Special Educational Needs?

Do you have experience of working with SEND children who have social, emotional and mental health needs and are looking for a new challenge?

The Cabin at William Leech is a brand new specialist support base designed to provide bespoke support to children with SEMH/SLCN needs and to help them thrive in a small and nurturing environment.

We are looking for a calm, talented and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the team and work closely with children who have a range of needs including speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges. You will show initiative on a daily basis, as you support children to thrive and reach their potential.

The Cabin at William Leech provides a unique learning environment that has been refurbished to meet the needs of the children. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career in our specialist provision in the heart of Lynemouth, and support both the children who attend The Cabin and their families.

As well as a rewarding career in a fully inclusive learning environment, the Trust offers the following benefits:
  • An excellent pension scheme with a generous 17% employer contribution from the Trust.
  • 26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays for all year-round staff, increasing to 31 days after five years’ service.
  • 24/7 access to our Employee Assistance Programme, providing confidential wellbeing and support services.
  • Comprehensive mental health and wellbeing support for all staff through Dittolo.
  • Access to The Nest, our childcare provision in Ashington and Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, offering both paid and free 30-hour places for eligible families.
  • Gym membership discounts, with reduced rates at Sculpt Ashington and Places Leisure.
  • Eligibility for a Blue Light Card, giving Trust staff exclusive discounts at major retailers including Apple, JD Sports and TUI.
  • Cycle to work scheme

If you’re ready to help shape brighter futures for our children with special educational needs, then we look forward to hearing from you!
