Do you want to make a lasting impact on the development of a new primary specialist support base?

The Cabin at William Leech is growing! And as part of the new phase, we are looking for an experienced SEND Teacher to join the team and be responsible for the effective teaching, learning and well-being of pupils with complex needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for meeting the needs of children who have experienced a challenging start to their young lives.

This is a rare opportunity to help build and shape a bespoke learning environment and curriculum that cares for and supports children with additional needs, ensuring they receive the personalised support that they need to thrive and make progress in learning.

The Cabin at William Leech provides a bespoke curriculum that meets children’s individual needs, small class sizes to ensure a sense of safety and wellbeing, and a trauma informed approach that requires all staff to be trained to respond to the children and families’ individual needs.

Alongside a meaningful teaching career in a nurturing specialist support base, the Trust offers the following benefits:

  • A supportive and collaborative staff team with a shared passion for education.
  • A school community that prioritises wellbeing, values, and high expectations
  • Excellent CPD opportunities and clearly defined career progression routes.
  • A comprehensive ECT support programme tailored to individual needs.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme – 24/7 wellbeing support.
  • On-site childcare provision during term time through The Nest
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme.

Are you ready to teach and help shape the future lives of our vulnerable children with additional needs? We look forward to receiving your application!

Interviews for this position will be held on Tuesday 28th April.

Northumberland Church of England Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
