Salary: Band 3 £25,583 – £25,989 pro rata (£22,001 – £22,350 actual)

Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 additional days

NCEA James Knott Primary School is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our established Early Years team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with experience of working with children aged 2–4 years to contribute to a high-quality early learning environment and give our children the very best start in life.
Our Early Years provision is centred on creating engaging, stimulating, and purposeful experiences that reflect children’s interests and promote curiosity, independence, and confidence. Please note, interviews for this role will take place on Friday 1st May.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum requirement)
- Have experience of working with children aged 2–4 years
- Demonstrate a caring, patient, and nurturing approach
- Be committed to supporting children’s learning and development through high-quality practice
- Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to the wider school community
- Show enthusiasm, flexibility, and a willingness to embrace new challenges
