Grace Darling Primary School is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join Dragonflies, our nurturing and inclusive specialist provision for children with a range of additional needs, including speech and language delay and autism.
Within Dragonflies, the skilled and committed team works collaboratively to create a safe, supportive and inspiring learning environment. The provision is carefully tailored to meet each pupil’s needs, in line with their education, health and care plan (EHCP).

Main Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support pupils’ individual needs and align with the curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where all children can succeed
- Work collaboratively with the SENDCo, teachers, support staff and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the support they need
- Apply current educational thinking and effective SEND strategies to raise attainment and promote progress
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, supporting both their learning and emotional development
- Ensure all documentation and records are completed in line with school policies and procedures
- Encourage pupils to explore new interests and develop independence, confidence and a love of learning.
