Duke’s Secondary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and forward-thinking English Mentor/Tutor to support our English subject area with a specific focus on preparing GCSE students for their upcoming examinations.  The successful candidate will have the necessary skills and attributes to provide academic catch-up support in English.  You will work independently by delivering engaging, targeted, and dynamic sessions under the guidance of a supportive and highly motivated Curriculum Leader.

The successful candidate will demonstrate, through application and interview that they are able to: –

  • Confidently plan and deliver well-structured catch-up sessions
  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Promote good progress and outcomes
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Adapt catch-up sessions to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
  • Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the Academy

Duke’s Secondary School, is looking to appoint an Learning Support Assistant to join the busy additional needs Team.

The additional needs team provides essential support for students who have a wide range of additional needs and / or disabilities. Learning support assistants are instrumental in promoting and developing independence and delivering bespoke support and interventions.

You will make a great addition to the team if you are flexible and committed to delivering high quality provision for all students while maintaining confidentiality.

The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, willing to help others and with an approach that is flexible to adapt to changing situations in a fast-moving environment.

Salary band 1 (point range 1-2) – £9.25 per hour

Some of our primary schools are looking for Lunchtime Supervisors to support the children over the lunchtime period;

Duties include:

  • Supervise children in the dining hall, playground areas and on school premises
  • Social training eg. table manners, use of cutlery, consideration of others etc
  • Encouraging children to try new and unfamiliar foods
  • Deal with accidents and incidents in accordance with school procedures
  • Clean up spillages as necessary
  • Support children in their access to play
